Stained Glass

using a dropletA droplet* is a Photoshop application that allows Actions to be applied to your image. Usually the droplets are left on your desktop and you simply drag a jpg file onto the droplet icon while Photoshop is open.

What are the differences between the droplet trial version of the effect and the actual purchased Action effect?
The trial versions will scale the image to 900 pixels, so your images should be at least, or close to 900 pixels. Smaller images will be enlarged and may show blurring and image noise. Other than that, the resulting image will show you how the actual Action will make your images appear. Like any plugin or action from any company, images that are blurred, contain a lot of image noise or are very dark and extremely low in contrast, will yield poor results. Keep that in mind.

Since the droplets are made exactly as our actions, they are compatible with the standard installed filters and layer commands of Photoshop 7, CS, CS2 and CS3. The Pencil Pixels Actios are best suited for web and screen size art.

These trial PencilPixels Action droplets are available for use on
Macintosh or Windows versions of Photoshop. They are downloadable as zip files so that servers wouldn't have any security issues normally associated with exe files.
Mac users, the file name has the extension of .exe they work on Mac whether the .exe extension is there or not. Mac users: downloading to the desktop is the easiest method.
For Windows users Right click to save the file and select a folder where you'd be able to find it if the unzipping process automatically starts after the download. (I sometimes have to locate unzipped downloads in my 'Temp Web Files' folder in 'My Profile' folder.)
Rough Pencil Drawing and other Pencil Actions are available in our EZ Pencil set. The EZ Pencil set and over 30 more actions are included in our One-Click Volume 1 Toon (Styled Poster Art) and other stylized Actions are available in our Toon-Comic-Poster set. Stained Glass and 20 other glass & plastic like Actions are in our Stained Glass set. These Actions, along with all of the Toon-Comic-Poster Actions and Paint effect Actions are included in our One-Click Volume 2
* If you have any difficulties using Photoshop droplets, please contact us, we'd help step you through the process. In the email, please indicate the exact problem you're having. If the Action doesn't completely finish, you should close other applications to free up memory. Also make sure that the 'Playback Options ...' in the Actions palette pop-out menu is set to 'Step by Step'

CS3 (Windows) Users:
We've gotten emails concerning droplets not working in CS3 that did work in previous versions of Photoshop.  A (Google) search for "CS3 droplet problems" found that update/install issues with the Windows registry may be a problem.

Some information from labs.kaliko.com pointed to an Adobe script that may help.

This may or may not be a fix, but it may be worth a try.
